Windows Instant Recovery with Failover Virtualization

Windows instant recovery uses the Unitrends' failover virtualization technology to enable the recovery of Windows systems in just a few minutes. It works by allowing the Unitrends' backup appliance to become the virtual host and directly support the execution of the Windows systems as virtual machines. Long-term recovery is then performed once new Windows servers are procured via a dissimilar bare metal restore.

  • Typical Windows system recovery is less than five minutes.
  • Recovered Windows system runs directly on the Unitrends appliance.
  • The Unitrends appliance continues to protect your environment while one or more Windows systems are running on it.
  • Instant recovery for Windows is hardware independent.
  • Advanced verification of backups with automated Windows screen snapshots is provided.
  • Windows 32- and 64-bit clients and servers are supported.
