Mike has been president and chief executive officer since November 2009 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since September 2008. Prior to Unitrends, Mike was president and general manager of Acronis Software, where he led the corporate strategy for North and South America. Prior to Acronis, Mike served as senior vice president of the Americas for Veritas until the merger with Symantec. Mike was also executive vice president of worldwide operations for Ingres Software Corporation and has held senior management roles at high growth companies such as Sun Microsystems and Monster.com. Mike is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at the Wharton School of Business and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the New York Institute of Technology. He also served with the US Army as a member of the Army Security Agency. |

Mark is the chief strategy / technology officer of Unitrends and has been a member of the Board of Directors since September 2009. Prior to joining Unitrends, Mark co-founded mindAmp Corporation which provided high-technology business and software development consulting. Previously, he worked as the Senior Vice President of the Systems Management Business at Legent Corporation and thus led over one thousand marketing, product managers, project managers, and engineers in the United States and Europe. Mark left Legent after successfully helping steer the company in its acquisition by Computer Associates. Before joining Legent, Mark was a vice president at NCR Corporation where he had profit and loss responsibility for its $1.5B+ server business. In this capacity he was responsible for over fifteen hundred marketing, product management, and engineers in the United States, Europe, India, and China. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a doctoral degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of South Carolina and a degree in international business from INSEAD. |

Tim Wallick has a broad financial and operational background that spans corporate acquisitions, tax and audit accounting, sales and manufacturing. His strong leadership experience within high-growth environments is complemented by his solid understanding of channel sales, manufacturing and inventory management. Prior to joining Unitrends in March 2006, Tim spent five years as CFO of an entrepreneurial company in the fastest-growing segment of the aftermarket automotive industry. Previously, he was at Sun-Sentinel, a major daily newspaper and a subsidiary of the Tribune Company, where he played a major role in a multi-million dollar acquisition, and led the Finance department of the acquired company. Tim started his career in the tax and audit field working for Rachlin, Cohen and Holtz, the largest regional public accounting firm in Florida. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in 1996 and passed the CPA Exam in 1997. |

Maria is responsible for Unitrends’ support and services. Prior to joining Unitrends, Maria was Manager of Commercial Information Systems Project Management at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. Earlier, she served as Director of Engineering at SteelEye Technology, and led the team that developed and delivered that company’s flagship line of software products. Prior to SteelEye, Maria held progressively more responsible development positions over a 14-year period with NCR Corporation. Maria earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Clemson University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. |
Russ Holt › Senior Vice President, Business Development |

Russ is responsible for business development and strategic alliances at Unitrends. Russ spent more than eight years with Dell in a number of leadership roles, most notably as the general manager of the Enterprise Product Group growing servers to the No. 2 position worldwide and reaching over $1B in revenue for storage systems. Prior to his departure, Russ was vice president of Dell’s software development and tools organization where he had worldwide responsibility for the development of embedded platform software and systems management and services tools. Prior to Dell, Russ spent more than 14 years with NCR Corp. where he held a variety of positions in product management and engineering. Prior to leaving NCR, he was vice president and general manager of its server systems division. Most recently, Russ worked in the non-profit sector providing executive and leadership counsel in the areas of strategic planning, business management and business development. Russ holds a bachelor's degree in information and computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and he currently serves as vice-chairman of the university’s College of Computing Advisory Board. |
Joe Balazs › Vice President - Engineering, Support, and Manufacturing |

Joe is responsible for all of Unitrends' engineering, support and manufacturing. Joe brings Unitrends over 30 years of impressive industry knowledge and experience, which has already proven invaluable during Balazs' tenure on Unitrends' Advisory Board. Balazs has contributed his expertise to expanding the backup and disaster recovery company in areas of business development, sales, marketing and technology strategies. Prior to joining Unitrends, Joe served ten years as Sr. Director S/W Development in EMC's Midrange Storage Division. There, he directed five global development teams and was responsible for all EMC Midrange Storage replication and efficiency products from conception through development, release and support. |
