If you are looking to save a little space on your Netware Cold Bare Metal backup try using the Bare Metal Optimizer (BMOPT.NLM). This tool will zero out all purgeable space on disk and will decrease the size of your Bare Metal backup.

Be aware that the purgeable space could be used for salvage operations and if it is zeroed out this will no longer be possible. As you delete files the purgeable space will start to grow again so keep an eye on how much space on disk is being used by purgeable space.
