InformationWeek.com had an interesting survey in their April 26, 2010 edition.  They asked 391 business technology professionals which virtualization platform they will be running extensively by 2011.  Here’s the results:

  • VMware: 64%
  • Hyper-V: 16%
  • Citrix XenServer: 6%
  • Oracle: 5%
  • Red Hat: 3%

One interesting note was that 20% of those surveyed planned limited use of Red Hat’s KVM – so there’s an opening for Red Hat’s new REHL 6 which is currently in beta.
