Unitrends, the global leader in all-in-one enterprise backup and continuity solutions, today announced the addition of Paul Strelzick to its board of directors. In this role, Strelzick will act as a strategic advisor to the company with respect to its go to market strategy. Strelzick brings over 30 years of sales experience to the Unitrends board, having most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at SolarWinds since 2007. While there, he helped lead the company through significant growth, advancing from a small startup through a successful Initial Public Offering to one of the leading networking and system management companies in the world.
“Paul is by far one of the best sales leaders of our generation and we are thrilled to have him join our board and to help us capitalize on our huge market opportunity,” said Paul Brady, CEO of Unitrends. “He has a rare combination of deep insight and wisdom coupled with a pragmatic focus on agile and iterative growth. Our board will be counting on his expertise in taking Unitrends to the next level with respect to our go-to-market strategies.”
With deep experience developing and executing efficient and profitable sales models and growth strategies for high technology companies, Mr. Strelzick held executive and senior management positions at MessageOne, Permeo Technologies, Legato and CA Technologies prior to joining SolarWinds. While at NetIQ, he led the Americas sales team through an IPO and an extended period of rapid growth.
“I’ve always been passionate about creating, coaching, and mentoring world-class sales organizations together with awesome products and customer-focused support in order to make a difference in the lives of IT professionals,” said Paul Strelzick. “With an award-winning line of products and a recognized sales and customer support team, I’m excited to join the board at Unitrends and to help the company achieve even greater success.”
