Mike Coney Chief Executive Officer Fearless leader and driven entrepreneur who embodies the words "carpe diem" seizing every opportunity for Unitrends' staff, partners, and customers. Mike has been president and chief executive officer since November 2009 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since September 2008. Prior to Unitrends, Mike was president and general manager of Acronis Software, where he led the corporate strategy for North and South America. Prior to Acronis, Mike served as senior vice president of the Americas for Veritas until the merger with Symantec. Mike was also executive vice president of worldwide operations for Ingres Software Corporation and has held senior management roles at high growth companies such as Sun Microsystems and Monster.com. Mike is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at the Wharton School of Business and earned a Bachelor's degree from the New York Institute of Technology. He also served with the US Army as a member of the Army Security Agency. Dr. Mark Campbell Chief Strategy/Technology Officer Passionate visionary and spokesperson on all things Unitrends. Mark is the chief strategy / technology officer of Unitrends and has been a member of the Board of Directors since September 2009. Prior to joining Unitrends, Mark co-founded mindAmp Corporation which provided high-technology business and software development consulting. Previously, he worked as the Senior Vice President of the Systems Management Business at Legent Corporation and thus led over one thousand marketing, product managers, project managers, and engineers in the United States and Europe. Mark left Legent after successfully helping steer the company in its acquisition by Computer Associates. Before joining Legent, Mark was a vice president at NCR Corporation where he had profit and loss responsibility for its $1.5B+ server business. In this capacity he was responsible for over fifteen hundred marketing, product management, and engineers in the United States, Europe, India, and China. Mark earned a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a doctoral degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of South Carolina and a degree in international business from INSEAD. Tim Wallick Chief Financial Officer An operations and financial guru helping fuel Unitrends rapid growth. Tim Wallick has a broad financial and operational background that spans corporate acquisitions, tax and audit accounting, sales and manufacturing. His strong leadership experience within high-growth environments is complemented by his solid understanding of channel sales, manufacturing and inventory management. Prior to joining Unitrends in March 2006, Tim spent five years as CFO of an entrepreneurial company in the fastest-growing segment of the aftermarket automotive industry. Previously, he was at Sun-Sentinel, a major daily newspaper and a subsidiary of the Tribune Company, where he played a major role in a multi-million dollar acquisition, and led the Finance department of the acquired company. Tim started his career in the tax and audit field working for Rachlin, Cohen and Holtz, the largest regional public accounting firm in Florida. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in 1996 and passed the CPA Exam in 1997. Eric Dougherty Vice President, Sales Persuasive front-line quarterback with a penchant for accelerating growth. Eric Dougherty serves as vice president of worldwide sales for Unitrends. Prior to joining Unitrends, Eric served as VP of Channel Sales for Stratus Technologies. Earlier, he served in leadership positions at Rapid7 and Acronis. While at Acronis, Dougherty built and led the channel sales team that was a key contributor to revenues growing from less than $20 million to approximately $120 million in 3 years. He also has extensive experience working with growth companies and building successful sales teams in channel centric go to market models. Dougherty has also held Senior Sales Management/Channel Development positions at Softricity Inc. (acquired by Microsoft), and Ecora Software Corporation (acquired by Versata), among others. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and currently serves in advisory board roles for Virtual Computer and Rapid7. Jennifer Sullivan Vice President, Marketing Steward of the brand and a fierce advocate of a frictionless customer experience from browser to buyer. Jennifer Sullivan is the vice president of global marketing for Unitrends. In this role, she is responsible for accelerating Unitrends’ worldwide branding, awareness and demand creation to fuel the next phase of Unitrends' growth. Prior to joining Unitrends, Jennifer served as the vice president of marketing for Nasuni Corporation, where she helped rebrand the company, launch a strong social content strategy and drive end user demand both direct and through the channel. Before Nasuni, she was the chief marketing officer at Ounce Labs, where she helped facilitate the company's acquisition by IBM in 2009. Previously, she served as vice president of demand generation at Plateau, a leading talent management software company that was acquired by SuccessFactors in 2011 and before that she was a senior marketing and sales leader at Unica, which was acquired by IBM in 2010. While there, she supported several acquisitions and an IPO. Jennifer has also held various senior marketing, operations and sales leadership positions within large, established companies, such as IBM and RSA Security, as well as venture-backed, high-growth startups. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University where she graduated Cum Laude and a Master’s degree from Babson College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is also a coach in Babson College's Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork (CLTP) Program. Daniel Wixon Vice President, Customer Support Veteran professional services frontrunner and customer satisfaction fanatic. Daniel Wixon brings nearly 20 years of experience in customer service and support area to Unitrends which will serve him well as he’s tasked with upholding the high standards Unitrends’ customer support team has already set and maintaining the program’s unparalleled success. Prior to joining Unitrends, Wixon was the senior vice president of services at Peak 10, where he was responsible for customer support and loyalty, as well as product management, network engineering, cloud infrastructure, provisioning, managed services delivery and change management. Before that, Wixon held vice president of service delivery positions at Interland Inc. and Web.com. He’s also held managerial positions at Dell® and Gateway®. Daniel holds a BBA in Finance from the University of South Dakota. Subo Guha Vice President, Product Management & Marketing Force behind product innovation and design, developing flexible and adaptable backup and disaster recovery architectures for IT. As vice president of product management & marketing, Subo Guha is responsible for defining Unitrends’ product strategy, roadmaps and approach to market enablement. For the past 20 years, he has served in a variety of executive roles in the areas of cloud, automation, virtualization, systems management and server technologies at leading companies including CA Technologies, Dell, NCR and Egenera Inc. Prior to Unitrends, Subo was vice president of cloud solutions at CA Technologies, where he was responsible for CA’s cloud and virtualization strategy, products and solutions. He was instrumental in driving CA to a No. 1 rank in cloud systems management and new acquisitions in capacity planning. Previously, Subo was a senior vice president at Egenera, a data center automation company, where he drove all industry partnerships and ecosystem development. Prior to Egenera, Subo was an executive at Dell for 10 years. Serving as the executive director of software product management and marketing, Subo was responsible for the company’s systems management and virtualization strategy and was tasked with reinventing Dell’s software marketing organization. Subo was also responsible for driving product sales and spearheading the division’s OEM and partner model. He was also part of the original team that grew Dell’s server market share to No. 1 in the U.S. Subo has a Ph.D in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business. He holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and received his Bachelor’s from the Indian Institute of Technology. He has over 16 major publications in MIS journals, including a book chapter, and is a frequent speaker at industry events in the areas of systems management and virtualization. Jessica Flanagan Vice President, Human Resources Jessica is our Vice President, Human Resources and is responsible for defining and driving Unitrends’ overall human resource strategy. She partners with and coaches executives to drive organizational design and growth, talent acquisition, development and management and overall benefits and compensation planning. Jessica comes to Unitrends with a strong background in both high-growth and change management cultures. Having spent her early career driving growth in startups like Aware Inc, Virtual Ink Corp, and Idealab.com, Jessica brings a strong business acumen to the table to connect HR initiatives to corporate objectives. More recently, Jessica has held senior HR leadership roles at Zipcar, Nokia and Stratus Technologies, where she led the design, development and implementation of organization-wide HR and talent processes to effect growth and change. Jessica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Merrimack College where she also received a full athletic scholarship to play for their Division II Women’s Basketball Team. Bob Gagnon Vice President, Channel Sales Focused sales executive with a bias towards all things channel. Bob Gagnon serves as vice president of channel sales for Unitrends. A graduate of Keene State College, Gagnon brings a 20 year history of industry knowledge and experience to Unitrends. Prior to joining, Bob served as Vice President of Channel Sales for AppAssure (acquired by Dell). Earlier, he ran North American sales and operations for AVG, and at Acronis, he drove the SMB Reseller Program, the Dell strategic partnership, as well as channel operations. Kevin Moreau Managing Director, EMEA The driving force and strategic captain of our international adventures. Kevin Moreau brings more than 15 years of international experience in Business Development, Sales and Operations, along with a mix of direct customer touch with a channel-centric approach which is perfectly suited for Unitrends’ acceleration in Europe. Prior to joining Unitrends, Moreau spent over six years at backup software vendor Acronis. During that time, Moreau started the UK operation from scratch and built a team to support sales and channel development, as the UK General Manager. Moreau then started a Corporate Accounts practice for the SMB backup vendor covering North Europe to increase Acronis’ visibility and revenues with larger accounts. Moreau also has experience providing channel accreditation and acceleration in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, where he seeded the channel implantation for Acronis. During his career, Moreau has also held several senior management and operational positions at companies including startups Collabrys and Rpost.com in the Silicon Valley. He spent a number of formative years working for B2B consulting firm Ducker Research, specialising in strategic analysis in technology markets, in Europe, South America and the United States, and opening a new operation for the firm in California. Joe Balazs Vice President, Engineering and Manufacturing Committed technologist bringing customer requirements into reality. Joe is responsible for all of Unitrends' engineering, support and manufacturing. Joe brings Unitrends over 30 years of impressive industry knowledge and experience, which has already proven invaluable during Balazs' tenure on Unitrends' Advisory Board. Balazs has contributed his expertise to expanding the backup and disaster recovery company in areas of business development, sales, marketing and technology strategies. Prior to joining Unitrends, Joe served ten years as Sr. Director S/W Development in EMC's Midrange Storage Division. There, he directed five global development teams and was responsible for all EMC Midrange Storage replication and efficiency products from conception through development, release and support.
