  • Kevin Weiss

    Kevin Weiss President and Chief Executive Officer

    Business strategist with a proven track record.

    Kevin has extensive experience setting corporate strategy, implementing the operational controls to support that strategy, and a proven track record of transforming fast-growing companies into industry leaders.
    Prior to joining Unitrends, Kevin was the chairman and CEO of SkyMall and its parent company Xhibit Corp. Before that, he served as the president and chief executive of Author Solutions, a Penguin Random House Company. Kevin played a key role in the successful sale of the company to Pearson PLC. Author Solutions was a portfolio company of private equity firm Bertram Capital, where Kevin has been an operating partner since 2007. Prior to Author Solutions, Kevin served as the president of McAfee, now part of Intel Security. As president, Kevin was responsible for sales, channel development, partnerships, services, and customer support, as well as corporate, field, and product marketing. Additionally, he has held leadership positions with, Ariba, BindView, BMC Software and IBM.
    Kevin graduated from Princeton University. 

  • Dr. Mark Campbell

    Dr. Mark Campbell Chief Technology Officer

    Corporate polymath.

    Mark is the chief technology officer of Unitrends.
    Prior to joining Unitrends, Mark was CEO of mindAmp Corporation, which provided high-technology business and software consulting to venture capitalists and management within A- and B-round startup companies. Before that, Mark was senior vice president and general manager of the worldwide systems management business at Legent Corporation, where he helped lead its successful acquisition by Computer Associates.  Prior to joining Legent, Mark was vice president and general manager of AT&T’s worldwide enterprise systems business unit, where he had P&L responsibility for its $1.5B server and enterprise software business. Previously, Mark was vice president and general manager of the worldwide server and software business unit at NCR Corporation (acquired by AT&T), where he had P&L responsibility for just over $1B of revenue.
    Mark earned a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a doctoral degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of South Carolina and a degree in international business from INSEAD.

  • Brad Miller

    Brad Miller Chief Financial Officer

    Senior Business Partner Driving Growth Globally

    Brad joined us from ikaSystems in 2014, where he served as CFO.  Prior to ikaSystems, he was CFO of Emptoris, a global software provider of procurement management solutions, where he led the sale and subsequent integration of the company into IBM. Prior to that, Brad has held CFO roles and financial executive positions in public technology companies, including Aspen Technology, Viisage (acquired by L-1 Identity Solutions), Sonus Networks, Sapient, and Wang Global (acquired by Getronics, N.V.).

    Brad started his financial career as a certified public accountant with the international public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand. He has a B.A. from the College of William and Mary and an M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. 
  • Mike Dalton

    Mike Dalton Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channels and International Field Operations

    International business leader at the forefront of channel success and worldwide growth

    As senior vice president of worldwide channels and international field operations, Dalton is tasked with the direction and growth of the company's channel program and international sales strategy.

    Previously, Dalton was the managing director of consultancy Topline Business Development, where he helped organizations including Rackspace, Symantec and AuthenWare recruit channel partners, train channel specialists and build country-specific channel programs. Prior, Dalton spent more than 10 years with McAfee in various sales, channel and business development roles, including five years as president of the company's EMEA business.

    Dalton holds a Bachelor of Science in metallurgy and micro structural engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.
  • Eric Dougherty

    Eric Dougherty Senior Vice President of Americas Field Operations

    Persuasive front-line quarterback with a penchant for accelerating growth.

    Eric Dougherty leads all new customer acquisition efforts for the Americas region, including its sales, channel, and pre-sales engineering groups.

    Dougherty has extensive experience working with growth companies and building successful sales teams in channel-centric go-to-market models.  Most recently, he served as VP of Channel Sales for Stratus Technologies.  At Rapid7, Dougherty signed OEM agreements with IBM and Symantec, leading to the then largest sales transaction in the company's history.  At Acronis, Dougherty built and led the channel sales team that was a key contributor to revenue, growing from less than $20 million to approximately $120 million.  After beginning his sales career with PC maker Leading Edge Products, Dougherty spent more than six years at Axis Communications (NASDAQ OMX Stockholm:  AXIS), ultimately serving as General Manager for the Americas. The sales success in the Americas contributed to a successful IPO for Axis in 2000.

    Dougherty has also held senior sales and channel management positions at Softricity Inc. (acquired by Microsoft), Ecora Software Corporation (acquired by Versata), and OCS (acquired by CMGI, now ModusLink).  He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

  • Joe Balazs

    Joe Balazs Vice President, Engineering and Manufacturing

    Committed technologist bringing customer requirements into reality.

    Joe is responsible for all of Unitrends' engineering, support and manufacturing.

    Joe brings Unitrends over 30 years of impressive industry knowledge and experience, which has already proven invaluable during Balazs' tenure on Unitrends' Advisory Board. Balazs has contributed his expertise to expanding the backup and disaster recovery company in areas of business development, sales, marketing and technology strategies.

    Prior to joining Unitrends, Joe served ten years as Sr. Director S/W Development in EMC's Midrange Storage Division. There, he directed five global development teams and was responsible for all EMC Midrange Storage replication and efficiency products from conception through development, release and support.

  • Jessica Flanagan

    Jessica Flanagan Vice President, Human Resources

    Jessica is our Vice President, Human Resources and is responsible for defining and driving Unitrends’ overall human resource strategy. She partners with and coaches executives to drive organizational design and growth, talent acquisition, development and management and overall benefits and compensation planning.  Jessica comes to Unitrends with a strong background in both high-growth and change management cultures.  Having spent her early career driving growth in startups like Aware Inc, Virtual Ink Corp, and, Jessica brings a strong business acumen to the table to connect HR initiatives to corporate objectives. More recently, Jessica has held senior HR leadership roles at Zipcar, Nokia and Stratus Technologies, where she led the design, development and implementation of organization-wide HR and talent processes to effect growth and change.
    Jessica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Merrimack College where she also received a full athletic scholarship to play for their Division II Women’s Basketball Team.
  • Bob Gagnon

    Bob Gagnon Vice President, Channel Sales

    Focused sales executive with a bias towards all things channel.

    Bob Gagnon serves as vice president of channel sales for Unitrends.

    A graduate of Keene State College, Gagnon brings a 20 year history of industry knowledge and experience to Unitrends. Prior to joining, Bob served as Vice President of Channel Sales for AppAssure (acquired by Dell). Earlier, he ran North American sales and operations for AVG, and at Acronis, he drove the SMB Reseller Program, the Dell strategic partnership, as well as channel operations.

  • Daniel Wixon

    Daniel Wixon Vice President, Customer Support

    Veteran professional services frontrunner and customer satisfaction fanatic.

    Daniel Wixon brings nearly 20 years of experience in customer service and support area to Unitrends which will serve him well as he’s tasked with upholding the high standards Unitrends’ customer support team has already set and maintaining the program’s unparalleled success.

    Prior to joining Unitrends, Wixon was the senior vice president of services at Peak 10, where he was responsible for customer support and loyalty, as well as product management, network engineering, cloud infrastructure, provisioning, managed services delivery and change management. Before that, Wixon held vice president of service delivery positions at Interland Inc. and He’s also held managerial positions at Dell® and Gateway®.

    Daniel holds a BBA in Finance from the University of South Dakota.
